SIR RICHARD OWEN

It has been suggested by some authors that the portrayal of Owen as a vindictive and treacherous man may be somewhat undeserved.

A drive-thru is usually the fastest way to get some take-out food.

But for Jennifer Lynn Betterly it wasn't fast enough.

Betterly was charged with aggravated battery and possession of a controlled substance.

She also faced additional charges of reckless driving and leaving the scene of a crash.

She'll be driving a Reebok after this episode. Driving on a suspended license and a hit-and-run pretty much means she'll be expressing herself as a pedestrian.

Driving on a suspended license and a hit-and-run pretty much means she'll be expressing herself as a pedestrian.

And everyone that would have had to share the road with her breathes a big sigh of relief.

I also hope they insist she undergo a psych eval. She obviously has more going on then a patience problem.

The drug she was busted with has this FDA warning:

A variety of abnormal thinking and behavior changes have been reported to occur in association with the use of sedative/hypnotics. Some of these changes may be characterized by decreased inhibition (e.g., aggressiveness and extroversion that seemed out of character), similar to effects produced by alcohol and other CNS depressants. Visual and auditory hallucinations have been reported as well as behavioral changes such as bizarre behavior, agitation and depersonalization.

Why she's driving with sleeping pills in the car seems odd to me, but apparently this Ambien stuff is addictive and Penelope Pitstop here is right in the main age range for dope addicts.

With an open pill bottle in the vehicle, it seems to me that should be prosecuted the same as a DUI/Open Container. Some states (most, not all) outlaw driving with open containers of intoxicating liquors in the car and will use that as probable cause to test for DUI (which doesn't always mean liquor, any drug impairment will do).

I don't know why she'd need a psych eval. I mean honestly, what's the point? Do you actually have to ask if she's bats? Jackass Jennifer took a Ford Focus into a Demolition Derby at a Taco Bell. Ain't nobody with a degree in psychiatry going to look at that and say she's perfectly normal.

Still mending a broken rib, I am, and this is just hilarious(yet true), MeanGene. Can you blast a warning next time so I might medicate prior to reading?

2010 Xterra 4X4 with a 4 inch lift will take car of that for her. I would know, a lady was driving behind me and apparently not paying attention and rear ended me. Her car totalled, my car fine (I had to replace my trailer hitch).

OK. Admit it. We've all wanted to do it at least once. You know what I'm talking about: the 2am post-party Whataburger swing-by and you get stuck behind Larry, Moe and Shemp (who themselves are stuck behind Howdy Doody, who is in turn stuck behind the chick that 'forgot' to include 6 things on her order and she's not leaving the window until it's just the way she wants it.)

Sometimes a honk and a few expletive shout-out's just aren't enough.

Why the heck is it that whenever one of these coocoo birds shows up in the news that it always seem to be here in Floriduh. Maybe the car in front of her was being held up by the car in front of it. Great mug shot though. Keep away from dark alleys, too

I wasn't going to say anything at the risk of coming off sexist, but what the Hell is it with women who pluck their eyebrows clean off and then paint them on with mascara like some kind of bizarre Cruella De Ville look-alike contest?

Every woman I've come across who does that has been a vain, self-centered, demanding little attention whore who thinks the world revolves at their pleasure.

I see that and I think "person to avoid dealing with" because there is no way I want to be around such negative energy. I've got more than enough negative energy of my own already.

Nothing sexist about it. Remember the Seinfeld episode where Uncle Leo lost his eyebrows and Elaine drew them in? That's the very first thing I thought when I saw her mug shot.

Coincidentally, MeanGene, this makes 3 times. Please be advised my meds have not kicked in, yet.

I blew / burned my eyelashes and eyebrows off in a backyard experiment with a 15 foot weather balloon filled with natural gas when I was a teen. I just lived with it. When the kids at school asked what happened, I just said "backyard experiment". They all knew me well so they understood.

You noticed, too! Also these stories are reported in a United Kingdom newspaper. I just finished reading about the 24 year-old Floridah dude who is wheelchair bound but was caught after robbing a Chevron station.

Most of the crap the Daily Mail publishes is unsubstantiated. It is an online magazine akin to the Enquirer, only slightyly less alien baby stories. They hype up actual events and imbellish adding opinion and conclusion. Total crap reporting with a British accent.

Ambien...she has her defense. Remember the representative, was he a congressman? who rammed the security gate at the capitol claiming he was there for a vote at 2am? After they arrested him he said he had taken Ambien, for which he held a prescription, (and I still don't believe that one) and said he had no memory of getting into the car and driving to the building.

Ambien came out nearly immediately with the warning that Ambien can cause temporary memory loss.

Her only problem is going to be proving the stuff was hers otherwise the controlled substance charge will stick.

Hopefully she isn't hit with just a longer suspension but gets nailed with a nice long revocation.

Not to belittle your point, but Jihad Jennifer here was already driving illegally. Telling this Ford Focus Fast Food Felon she can't legally drive apparently won't impress this Terrorista of Taco Bell.

I'd hit her where it hurts.

Lifetime restraining order from all fast food establishments. Not just the Taco Bell/KFC she committed her demolition drivethru crime at, but ALL of them. McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Subway, anyplace with takeout at all, BANNED FOREVER.

If she can't behave at a takeout, then she doesn't get to go to a takeout. If she shows her ugly Tammy Faye Bakker looking face at one, then she goes down for felony trespass.

Hope she likes cooking her own dinner, because the only way she's getting anyone else to make her meals is if she's behind bars.
